It is a pleasure to invite you to a one-day in-service training course-workshop on
Saturday, 26th November 2011, from to , at the Public Library of Veria, which is addressed to EFL teachers of state secondary schools.
The course is organised on my initiative and in the framework of my dissertation thesis at the Hellenic Open University. It aims at satisfying state High school teachers’ apparent demand for more practical, hands-on context-specific in-service training, which we are aware of via the feedback from the needs analysis questionnaire several colleagues among you were willing to respond to.
In this scope, the course content and processes to be deployed have been tailored to the respondents’ needs and expectations, and with a view to state school teachers’ on-going professional development. The course ventures to link practice with theory, pertains to five core sessions and is free of charge. The language used will be English.
There are no admission requirements apart from your presence throughout the course. It goes without saying that your commitment, collaboration and contribution to the course-workshop will be highly esteemed and treated with discretion.
Furthermore, the state EFL Advisor of Primary and Secondary Education schools of our Prefecture, Mr Theodoros Skenderis, and the State English Teachers’ Union of Imathia have been informed about the course and have been kind enough to forward this invitation to you.
You may register via e-mailing the attached application form to tsimprikidou@ yahoo.gr for economy reasons and as certain preparation should be made on our part. A confirmation will be sent to you within reasonable time. You may also call 2331062151 () to do so. Upon arrival to the venue, you are required to bring:
1. an (upper-) intermediate level course book or grammar book you are currently using and,
2. if you do not have a valid e-mail address, an envelop addressed to yourself.

The title and content of the sessions is included in the attached programme. An attendance certificate will be distributed to you on completion of the course. The time schedule will be strictly followed.
